John is currently president of the AAADA and has been involved in the antiques trade for 30 years, trading in Melbourne as Acorn Antiques in High Street, Armadale.

His field is English furniture of the Victorian period and later, but he also collects bronze and marble statuary, silver and porcelain. He is the publisher of Australian Art Sales Digest and Carter's Price Guide to Antiques.
