The stepped pediment features ornate carved detail, while the base has two small and two large lockable drawers with ormolu mounts and rests on hairy paw front feet.

Magnificent pair of 19th century Italian carved giltwood mirrors. Water gilded 24ct gold. H: 204cm W: 139 (each). REDUCED FROM $75,000 This important pair of Italian carved giltwood mirrors came from the Palazzo Colonna Di Sciarra in Rome. The pair was obtained by the Catholic Church (Qld) in 1928 directly from the Odescalchi family, who resided in the Palazzo at the time. The mirrors remained in the possession of the Catholic Church until recent times.

Ornamental tree featuring hand carved Jade flowers, buds and foliage in various shades, in a polychrome cloisonne tub. Height: 88cm. Held in a private collection since the 1980s. An extraordinary feat of craftsmanship, this sculpture features individually hand carved Jade flowers and foliage. Blossoms and buds range in colour from cream and pale pink through to apricot and orange shades, offset by deep green leaves. Each Jade petal and leaf has been painstakingly assembled to create a naturalistic effect. The Jade Camellia is presented in a polychrome cloisonne tub decorated with scenes of wild cranes.

Satinwood Bijouterie Case, English, feauturing lockable glass topped display and three slide-out drawers within the body of the cabinet. REDUCED FROM $22,900 The term bijouterie refers to trinkets, such as small boxes, paperweights, music boxes, puzzles and other curios. The top pane of this bijouterie case is hinged so that objects may be taken out and inspected. The case is veneered in satinwood. This hardwood from the West Indies has a light yellow colour, a curved, smooth grain and is named after its satin-like figuring.
