Artist born in Canada arrived Melbourne 1852. Huyghue was in Ballarat at the time of the Eureka uprising and made the sketch for this engraving. In 1853 he became clerk of the Office of Mines at Ballarat, in 1862 collector of imposts, and in 1872 clerk of Petty Sessions at Graytown. A rare image.
